Kitech Machinery's KWPH series shredding, crushing, and washing line is a complete solution for processing large-diameter plastic pipes. It is primarily composed of the AGR series shredder, the AGH series crusher, a floating wash tank, a friction washer, a dewatering unit, and a drying & storage system. The process begins with large-diameter HDPE pipes being fed into the shredder and crusher. The material then undergoes deep cleaning through the floating tank and friction washer, is dewatered, and finally dried and stored in the silo system.
I. AGR Series Shredder
Application
The AGR series shredder is specifically designed for processing large-diameter pipes (with a maximum diameter of up to 1200mm), such as PE, PP, PVC, HDPE solid-wall pipes, and double-wall corrugated pipes. The AGR series can also handle smaller-diameter pipes and profiles, large blocks, big containers, pallets, and more.

1. The AGR series features a rotor diameter ranging from 800mm to 1500mm. Its standard hopper is designed to accommodate pipes up to 6 meters in length. Pipes can be fed horizontally into the machine without the need for pre-cutting.

II. AGH Series Crusher
The AGH series heavy-duty granulator is engineered for robust industrial crushing. It offers multiple rotor designs, with widths from 500mm to 2000mm and diameters from 350mm to 800mm. This crusher utilizes a heavy duty rotor, a welded steel structure, and a sturdy crushing chamber to ensure maximum productivity in continuous operation.
The rotor's extended shaft can be fitted with a speed regulation wheel. Adjustable knife holders minimize tool changeover time. The fully welded, heavy-duty steel construction is built to withstand the most demanding environments. Components like rotor bearings, knife holders, and the rotor shaft are oversized for durability. The standard V-type cut produces high-quality regrind with very low fines content. Other standard features include easily replaceable wear plates in the cutting chamber and externally mounted bearings to reduce contamination risk.

IV. Dewatering System
The plastic dewatering unit is used for automatically removing water from plastics after they have been shredded and washed. It is primarily the final step after initial washing, crushing, or floating tank cleaning. It replaces manual scooping and drying while adding an extra cleaning stage and high-speed dewatering, achieving a moisture removal rate of up to 90%. This saves labor, improves cleaning quality, and reduces power consumption. It can be paired with automatic conveying systems to form a more advanced automated production line and can handle various plastics like PET, PP, HDPE, and PVC.
V. Drying and Storage System
In the plastic washing and recycling process, drying is a critical step. Many plastic materials absorb moisture during storage or transportation, and this moisture can negatively impact subsequent production processes and product quality. The primary goal of drying is to remove this moisture, ensuring the material is dry for reprocessing. This guarantees smooth molding processes and ensures the final product's performance and appearance.
It is crucial to set appropriate drying temperatures and times based on the specific plastic material. Excessively high temperatures may alter or even degrade the material, while temperatures that are too low won't remove moisture effectively. Uniform drying must be ensured to prevent some material from being over-dried while other parts remain damp. Furthermore, moisture content should be checked regularly during drying to ensure the results meet the requirements for storage and reproduction.
